The Department of Research & Health Promotion augments SYHealth’s clinical care with health promotion, research and care coordination programs for patients and community members. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the PREVENT Program Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing SYHealth’s PREVENT Respiratory Epidemiological Surveillance Expansion Programs. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Supervisor’s key responsibilities will include direct supervisor of staff, oversight of the implementation of all research activities, and monitoring progress towards goals and deliverables. Specifically, the Supervisor directly supervises the Program Coordinator, Research Assistant/Health Educators and Promotor/as and will be responsible for scheduling, supervision, and training of program staff including conducting annual performance evaluations. The Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, interfacing with clinic staff and research partners; developing and refining of study protocols and other research documents; report generation & submission; data quality and assurance; onsite support or related duties. The Supervisor will be accountable for the strategy and execution of health education efforts regarding respiratory pathogens and comorbidities, including activities to increase awareness and education of related initiatives within San Ysidro Health clinic network in collaboration with the academic partners. The Supervisor will also be responsible for coordinating with clinic staff including providers/care team members as well as building and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders. Finally, the Supervisor will work with the Program Manager to assure the quality improvement goals and objectives are enforced; development of protocols and procedures; conducting presentations and trainings.
