About The Position

As one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, Texas A&M Health encompasses five colleges and numerous centers and institutes working together to improve health through transformative education, innovative research and team-based health care delivery. The Program Coordinator I coordinates the planning, development and implementation of assigned program. Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in project management or epidemiology.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree of Public Health in Epidemiology.
  • Experience in study design and survey data collection.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming and database management (R, SAS, SQL, Stata, and NVivo).
  • Familiarity with research tools such as REDCap, Qualtrics, Covidence, and ArcGIS.
  • Experience working with Real-World Data (RWD) and building machine learning models.
  • Demonstrated success in research as evidenced by peer-reviewed publication record.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quantitative research databases and perform data cleaning and statistical modeling (SAS, R, SQL).
  • Coordinates with Principal Investigator (PI) on data management processes, analysis, writing reports and papers.
  • Assists PI in preparation and monitoring of budgets for program.
  • May assist PI in identifying funding opportunities and assist in writing grant proposals.
  • Manages and tracks data governance related research tasks in the lab (DUA, MOU, training etc).
  • Coordinates with PI to assist faculty and PhD students with data governance issues.
  • Maintains program records of all data governance paperwork.
  • Mentors undergraduate and master’s students in the lab
