About The Position

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Electrical & Computer Engineering ( ECE ) department within the School of Engineering. The Program Coordinator I reports to the Department Administrator Supervisor. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides administrative support to the Department Chairman, Graduate Director, Department Administrator, and faculty for the largest department in the School of Engineering. Performs daily administration of all graduate activities including admissions, registration issues, TA/GA appointments, etc.; organizes, coordinates, and oversees daily academic advising operations and ongoing projects. Coordinates logistics for MS and Ph.D. exams, qualifying and final exams, proposal presentations, and thesis defenses. Maintains and updates the graduate website, announcing internships and events. Assists with database and record management and maintaining program information. Participates in the development of new programs and initiatives in student advising and international programs. Provides academic advising to incoming international students during their transitional period. Investigates and resolve or recommend solutions to issues related to graduate student cases, scheduling or registration conflicts, student matters, etc. Prepares data and information used in annual reports, surveys, statistics, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
