Position Summary Description: Responsible for the receiving and quality of the product, ensuring that it meets company standards. Performs activities related to receiving inbound inventory and putting away to prepare the Distribution Center for the evening picking operation. Addresses all receiving related issues, ensures the department operates efficiently, and creates an atmosphere focused on delivering high quality customer service and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year experience of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the foodservice industry.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the receiving of product throughout each step both into our system and to the prospective department.
  • Accurately and timely processes all inbounds using warehouse computer system.
  • Coordinates with receiving to determine items to be tagged, staged, and put away.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Performs routine operational and warehouse tasks that support daily distribution activities and the movement of products throughout the facility.
  • Follows established procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines when handling materials, equipment, and inventory.
  • Completes assigned work tasks accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to order accuracy, product handling standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Maintains organized and safe work areas by following housekeeping standards and reporting safety concerns or equipment issues.
  • Communicates with supervisors or team members regarding operational issues, product discrepancies, or workflow concerns that may impact productivity.
  • Works collaboratively with team members to support operational efficiency and meet department performance goals.
