Berger Financial Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to support our Springfield team. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors while providing administrative and operational support to ensure the office runs efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks, including client communication, document management, and assisting with retirement plan and compliance processes. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for maintaining strong, professional client relationships.
  • Strong computer skills to navigate the latest financial tools and technology.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach and the ability to seek innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional office environment.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and assist with scheduling meetings for clients and staff.
  • Maintain an organized reception area and restock office supplies as needed.
  • Sort and distribute mail, scan documents, and assist staff with administrative projects.
  • Maintain and update client records and documentation within company systems.
  • Assemble and deliver client documents, including tax returns and annual reports.
  • Request, receive, and track required census data and investment statements for annual plan compliance work.
  • Assist with preparing and distributing valuation reports and forms including 1099-R, 1096, and Form 945.
  • Communicate with internal staff regarding the status of documentation and readiness for year-end processing.
