SUMMARY: Responsible for the qualification and timely assignment of candidates to contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire client job orders; works collaboratively with business development managers, Office Coordinators, direct hire staff, and other branch team members to ensure the best quality service to clients and candidates.

Requirements

  • BA degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 1 year recruiting experience, OR a minimum of 1 year of industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in assignment of clients and order fulfillment distribution partnering with Business Development Manager (BDM) and Branch Manager (BM) for branch Division orders.
  • Participates in staffing projects such as reactivation and large volume staffing projects/requests from various clients, and more; decides/assigns who will be responsible for these and monitors progress and quality service adherence.
  • Understands service offerings and promotes all business units; keeps abreast on industry trends and promotes Nelson’s strategic vision around same.
  • In partnership with BDM and BM, assists with client negotiations related pricing (within standard guidelines)
  • Is first point of contact to resolve client negotiation and service escalation issues.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the contingent workforce assigned, identifying problem areas and taking corrective procedural, client support, and other actions.
  • Documents reports of performance for recognition and/or disciplinary review based on client feedback.
  • Stays abreast of employer of record (EOR) and wage and hour compliance as applies to contingent workforce; monitors quality control of applicant files to ensure compliance with organization and government standards.
  • In partnership with BDM and/or BM, consults with clients regarding Nelson & Associate services and pricing for quarterly business reviews.
  • Reviews employment applications, candidate’s backgrounds, and interviews applicants to evaluate work history, skills, competencies, education and training, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
  • Receives and reviews job orders from BDM and/or from clients directly; interfaces directly with clients to assess job order; negotiates pay rates with clients and candidates; matches candidates to client job requirements.
  • Maintains communication with clients and candidates regarding status of open job orders
  • Informs candidates of job duties and responsibilities, compensation, work schedules and working conditions, policies, assignment opportunities, and other information; evaluates employees' performance by conducting follow-up calls in order to foster client relationships; coaches and counsels temporary employees to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
  • Advises Branch Manager/SVP and Corporate departments on contingent workforce employee relation issues; Participates in resolution meetings with Corporate departments, documents and counsels clients regarding HR/Legal issues and any other pertinent information, as needed.
  • Processes relevant credit information on clients and potential clients through automated system to mitigate payment risk during the client setup process.
  • Coordinates necessary candidate usage needs with temporary department and assists in arranging Open Houses and advertising through various outlets to achieve necessary numbers.
  • Maintains records of resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection; updates and retrieves candidate information in database systems, i.e. eRecruit, PolicyTech, I9Advantage and SkillSurvey.
  • Creates daily, weekly, and special reports for management and clients, as requested.
  • Initiates documentation for Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims, coordinating efforts with Safety and Risk dept.; manages modified duty assignments for temporary employees; coordinates work site safety inspections as needed.
  • Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • May solicit job orders through performing telephone sales; actively markets candidates to clients.
  • Attends local business meetings and/or seminars to represent the organization in the community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
