Job Summary: Ensures patients have been cleared for specialty servie office visits and resolves pre-certification, registration and case-related concerns prior to a patient's appointment; gathers pertinent information from insurance carriers, financial counselors, and other ancillary staff. Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licenses/Certificates/Registration: CMA or LPN preferred.
  • Experience: Previous office experience helpful. Experience with insurance referrals and authorizations preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Strong organizational skills; excellent telephone skills; able to work independently, as well as part of a professional team; able to interact and communicate effectively with the public in person and by telephone; ability to complete delegated activities, projects, and committee functions within appropriate time span; oral/written communication skills; and the knowledge of medical terminology.
