About The Position

Refining Technology Subject Matter Expert PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Refining Technology Subject Matter Expert to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our refinery location in Paulsboro, NJ. The role of the Refining Technology Subject Matter Expert for PBF Energy is to provide overall technical guidance for the operation and maintenance of various refining technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
20+ years of Refining experience in technical or operations roles
Experience in refining technologies
Expected travel 25-50%
This position is on site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

Perform the role of Sponsor for one or more of the Refining Best Practice Networks covering varying technologies, and encourage knowledge sharing and interaction between sites through these networks
Develop engineering standards and best practices associated with these technologies
Engage in site troubleshooting and optimization
Engage in incident investigations relevant to these technologies
Support turnarounds and outages on units involving these technologies, including scope development and readiness reviews
Participate in industry wide committees such as AFPM, API, and others
Coordinate health checks and site audits of the technologies
Support capital project development and implementation associated with these technologies
Develop strategic plans and understand economic analysis to assist in setting long range capital planning
Assist with site training on technologies for all relevant departments
