About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished Resort Manager to serve as a key operational leader and strategic partner in delivering extraordinary guest experiences across the property. As the resort’s second-in-command, the Resort Manager plays a vital role in guiding the daily operations of both the Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions, ensuring every moment of the guest journey reflects the property’s distinctive sense of place, culinary vision, and service philosophy. Working closely with the General Manager and Senior Leadership team, this role helps cultivate a culture of excellence where team members are empowered, service is intuitive, and every detail contributes to an unforgettable stay. The successful candidate is a thoughtful, hands-on hospitality leader who understands that luxury lies in the details. They inspire teams, anticipate guest needs, and ensure that every aspect of the resort experience reflects warmth, authenticity, and excellence. Requirements

  • 4–5 years of leadership experience within a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Proven ability to lead multi-department operations with a focus on luxury service delivery
  • Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing operational performance
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and team development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment
  • Be able to handle stress and have the mental capacity to do so under stressful times and situations.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions and have the physical abilities required for the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for resort operations, including the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments.
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and inspiring environment that supports team development, engagement, and accountability.
  • Serve as an active leader within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) rotations.
  • Personally respond to and resolve guest requests, needs, and concerns to ensure exceptional satisfaction and lasting impressions.
  • Continuously evaluate guest feedback, mystery shopper results, and industry ratings implementing action plans where necessary.
  • Ensure all departments maintain the highest levels of hospitality, service consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Analyze operational and financial reports to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved performance.
  • Assist in preparing the annual operating budget, including labor planning, departmental expenses, and operational forecasting.
  • Review and refine Rooms Division and Food & Beverage incentive programs and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate and monitor resort capital expenditures to ensure cost control and quality standards.
  • Support and collaborate with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams to enhance dining experiences and contribute to menu innovation and development.
  • Ensure that dining outlets reflect the resort’s culinary philosophy and guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop promotions and initiatives that increase occupancy, dining revenue, and overall resort performance.
  • Evaluate market trends, amenities, and competitive offerings to strengthen the resort’s positioning.
  • Provide recommendations for pricing strategies and product offerings.
  • Mentor and coach department leaders, supervisors, and team members to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and appreciation events that reinforce a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure full compliance with Appellation brand standards across all operations.
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment while ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation for personnel, payroll, and operational records.
