About The Position

AECOM/Hunt is seeking a Risk Management Coordinator for our Mid-Town Manhattan offices. The Risk Management Coordinator provides technical, administrative and operational support to the Risk Management Department. The Risk Management Coordinator provides technical, administrative and operational support to the Risk Management Department and a hands-on understanding of the company’s Insurance Programs, Claims Management, and Certificate of Insurance Management processes. Must have proven ability to work in a highly demanding environment, excellent time management and organizational skills. Responsibilities may shift to provide greater or lesser support in other Risk Management functions as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Finance, Business Administration or related curriculum and 2 years of relevant experience in commercial risk management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented; strong analytic skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Excellent organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in commercial risk management such as asset management, real estate or general contracting.
  • Experience with compliance in licensing and coordinating with various city agencies for violation resolution.
  • Knowledge of CCIP claims and financial integrity

Responsibilities

  • Service of all aspects of the insurance placement process utilizing the company’s agency management system
  • Prepares, maintains, and distributes a variety of standard and ad-hoc risk management reports as requested
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate policy data in the company’s agency management system
  • Process insurance policy endorsements and maintain organized records of policy changes
  • Maintain complete and accurate project insurance files, ensuring documents are properly categorized and accessible
  • Process insurance related invoices and interface with internal and external accounting departments as needed
  • Track invoice payment status, follow up as necessary, and handle notices of cancellation
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing certificate of insurance requests, and ensure timely and accurate issuance of certificates to meet project and contract requirements
  • Assist with insurance claim reporting to carriers and/or TPAs
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters to provide requested documentation and information
  • Maintain and update claim files, ensuring all information is current and well-organized
  • Ensure receipt of all insurance policies and endorsements from brokers and/or project owners
  • Create renewal submission applications through agency management system
  • Order and process scheduled loss runs and on demand loss run requests
  • Other duties assigned
