About The Position

We are seeking a meticulous and self-directed SBA Banking Associate to provide administrative management of a diverse loan portfolio. The SBA Banking Associate communicates effectively with the Lending Hub regarding management of loan portfolio and ensures client requests are promptly completed. The ideal candidate will have prior experience SBA packaging experience as well as knowledge in Commercial banking.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in SBA lending, commercial lending, business finance, or related fields
  • Familiarity with SBA loan programs (7(a), 504, Express)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and knowledge of rules, regulations and policies relating to loan documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
  • Proficiency with nSync and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with SBA lenders, CDCs, or loan packaging firms
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and tax returns
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Prior client-facing or sales support experience in financial services

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for prospective and existing SBA loan clients.
  • Collect, organize, and review required documentation for SBA loan applications.
  • Assist clients in completing SBA forms and lender applications.
  • Coordinate with Lenders, Loan Administrators, clients, and outside agencies by performing a variety of customer service activities including responding to requests, researching discrepancies, and resolving issues.
  • Track deal progress and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Communicate loan status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate client records in nSync and loan tracking systems.
  • Help identify potential issues early and escalate as needed.
  • Accurately searching lien positions to ensure banks priority from other financial institution.
  • Manage internal/external requests and financial transactions within the term of the loan documentation, bank policies and procedures. Includes payments, wire transfers, payoffs, and collateral releases.
  • Manage or maintain Letter of Credit report and other daily, month or quarterly reports as assigned.
  • Manage, monitor and/or report activity related to denied/not approved loans, as assigned.
