Seasonal Public Works Operators - City Infrastructure
About The Position
Heber City Corporation (the City of Heber) is seeking to hire seasonal individuals for the primary Public Works Department. This is the kind of job that provides valuable experience and exposure to necessary municipal infrastructure. Work is performed on-site, primarily outdoors from May to September, to repair and maintain water and wastewater pipes. Duties include maintaining safe tools and equipment and operating vehicles and machinery. Physical requirements include considerable bending, lifting, stooping, standing, sitting, and twisting. Start time is promptly at 7:00 am with a 30-minute lunch, and end time is 5:30 pm M-TH. Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License, be able to learn safety practices, follow directions, and operate tools and equipment. Upon offer of employment and acceptance, applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in municipal infrastructure for a local government, while working with a supportive, fun team, and getting paid!
