About The Position

As a Security Guard - Front Lobby Desk in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff, manage access procedures, monitor activity through systems, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal by being agile, reliable, and innovative, bringing a caring, people-first approach while delivering through teamwork and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • For hospital roles, required vaccines must be up to date.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor the main entrance and lobby area, greet and direct patients, visitors, vendors, and staff, and help manage visitor check-in, sign-in logs, and issuance of temporary access credentials per site policy.
  • Control access by verifying identification, coordinating with clinical and administrative staff for approvals, and helping to maintain orderly traffic flow in waiting areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, and communicate updates to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
