Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Sparrows Point, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and track arrivals using a computer or tablet. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while communicating clearly and delivering people-first customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach.

Requirements

Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, credentials, and/or shipping documentation; manage visitor, contractor, and employee sign-in and badge processes.
Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including coordinating with shipping and receiving for deliveries, pickups, and trailer movements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
