Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Commerce City, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials and badges, and log visitors, trailers, and deliveries. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with team members and site staff to help reduce security-related incidents and support loss prevention. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing deliveries and pickups to appropriate areas.
  • Screen and monitor inbound and outbound traffic including trucks, trailers, and packages as directed, and report unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, dock areas, yards, and perimeter, and monitor cameras and alarms as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
