About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced transportation location, you will help manage entry points, check credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support security-related screening and reporting. You will complete routine patrols and stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, while delivering customer service through clear communication. Requirements

A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or credentials, and manage visitor processing and badging in accordance with site requirements.
Screen personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries as required, and communicate access decisions and directions in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting events per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, queuing areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
