As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet drivers and visitors, and support security-related screening such as package checks and X-ray review. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining access logs.
Monitor cameras and alarm systems, observe shipping and receiving areas for unusual activity, and report concerns according to post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including docks, trailer yards, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
