As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet drivers and visitors, and support security-related screening such as package checks and X-ray review. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining access logs.
  • Monitor cameras and alarm systems, observe shipping and receiving areas for unusual activity, and report concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including docks, trailer yards, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
