Job Description As a Security Officer - Badge Control in Kenova, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry using badge systems, verify credentials, and track visitor and vehicle access while supporting routine patrols and incident response. You may assist with alarm panel activity, write clear reports using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver professional customer service at every interaction. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, processing visitor registrations, issuing and collecting temporary credentials, and maintaining required logs.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractors for compliance with site entry requirements, route traffic to designated areas, and coordinate with site contacts when exceptions are requested.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards or unusual conditions, and report maintenance concerns through the established channels.
