As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and employees, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and log activity using site systems. You will conduct visible rounds and respond to incidents to help reduce security-related issues while delivering standout customer service. This is a driving post, supporting mobile checks and coverage as needed.

Requirements

• Security experience of 1+ years is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates, guard shacks, and/or building entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
• Screen and direct inbound and outbound trucks, trailers, and passenger vehicles by confirming appointments, checking shipping documentation, and coordinating with site contacts for loading dock and yard access.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating updates to site leadership and responding personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, and complete security-related reports and documentation.
