You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, control access points, and respond to alarms and incidents with calm, professional communication. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and directing individuals to authorized areas at an aero and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as needed.
  • Perform security-related screening, inspections, and checks of doors, gates, and restricted spaces, documenting irregularities and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
  • Complete detailed written reports and electronic logs, including incident reports, patrol activity, and daily shift activity, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel.
