Security Officer - Badge Driver Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Badge Desk Driver Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will support access control points as needed, communicate clearly, and deliver customer-focused service while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vehicle entry procedures, including verifying authorization when required and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
- Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate notable observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
