Job Description As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Specialist in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, complete detailed reports, and respond to alarms and service calls. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-area disturbances, access issues, and/or alarms, and coordinate with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help to verify identification and/or authorization, and assist with directing individuals to approved areas according to site procedures.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information during shift changes to support continuity of operations.
