As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. You will provide clear communication and customer service to staff, patients, and visitors, support access control, and document activities with accuracy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reports of disorderly conduct, unauthorized access, disturbances, and/or medical-related emergencies as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, unlocked doors, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor flow, assisting with badge checks, directions, and/or escort requests in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
