As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers with professionalism and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under the Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire alarms, and coordinate with local responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence, and support store personnel with security-related requests.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
