About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Rounds in Draper, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed officer at a government location, you will stay on the move conducting vehicle and foot rounds to help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, complete detailed reports, and support a people-first culture rooted in integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random rounds of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes, reporting unusual conditions or hazards.
  • Monitor access points during rounds, assisting with visitor direction, observing for policy violations, and/or reporting suspicious activity through established channels.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and activity documentation using written and/or electronic systems in accordance with site requirements.
