About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering top-tier customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to needs across the campus. Requirements

  • At this hospital site, vaccines are required.
  • This post is located in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and help to maintain orderly movement through lobbies, corridors, and other common areas in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, document incidents and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff and/or as directed by site leadership.
