As a Security Officer - Driver Site Patrol in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will spend much of your shift driving between areas to complete routine patrols, check for security-related concerns, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and customer service. You will stay highly visible, help to deter unwanted activity, and document and report observations with integrity. This position requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and exterior areas such as sidewalks and parking lots; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations, document observations, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter theft and disorderly conduct.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations.
• Complete required reports and logs, provide incident updates as needed, and support access control by observing deliveries, employee entrances, and closing procedures per post orders.
