As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, acting with integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and activity throughout the property, verify visitor and/or vendor authorization when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and/or property damage; coordinate with property staff and public responders as needed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate noteworthy activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support site-specific post orders and procedures.
