About The Position

As a Security Officer- Evening Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading education location, you will make routine patrols across campus spaces, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and clear communication. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus partners and/or local first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards, unsecured doors, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, check identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor directions and campus service requests.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to site leadership for follow-up.
