As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, delivering a professional customer experience. This role requires a valid driver’s license for mobile patrol duties and a concealed carry weapons permit, backed by integrity and teamwork. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or public responders as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, pump stations and/or treatment areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at gates, doors, and restricted areas by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor activity, and directing traffic and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and required documentation, and communicate significant observations to supervision and site contacts.
