As an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will manage access points as needed, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and the public. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and restricted areas, verifying authorization, and documenting entries and exits according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol findings, incidents, maintenance issues, and unusual activity, and communicate updates to supervision and/or site contacts.
