Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, where you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will screen employees, visitors, and drivers entering the site, support orderly access to the facility, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points by checking identification, confirming access authorization, and directing individuals to the proper check-in and/or staging areas.
  • Conduct security-related screening of bags, parcels, and/or equipment as required by site procedures, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, access control issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs such as screening activity, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
