As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet employees and visitors, support entry screening and access procedures, and monitor assigned areas for unusual activity. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site leadership, and provide customer-focused service while using security-related technology as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen associates, visitors, and deliveries at entry points by verifying identification, validating access authorization, and inspecting items per site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access at screening areas, including directing foot and vehicle traffic, checking credentials, and documenting entries and refusals as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
