Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for staff, patients, and visitors. You will help manage entry procedures, greet and assist guests, support access permissions, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will bring an agile, reliable approach, deliver through teamwork, and act with integrity while helping to reduce incidents through a strong, professional presence.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies, assisting staff and visitors with directions, check-in needs, and general questions.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor and delivery logs.
- Monitor the lobby and nearby entrance areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Operate front desk communication tools such as phones, radios, and/or cameras, and complete required reports and documentation in a timely, professional manner.
