About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Access in Whitakers, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage sign-in and badge procedures, and monitor entry points for security-related concerns. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to support reliable, innovative operations.

Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an industrial manufacturing location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access by checking identification, issuing badges and/or visitor passes, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing arrivals to the correct destinations.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify deliveries and pickups against documentation, and report discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and adjacent areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and complete required reports and documentation.
