About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Access in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will manage access control, greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, and guide people to the right areas while supporting a positive experience. You will stay visible, conduct routine rounds as assigned, document activity, and communicate clearly with the care team to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
Control access at assigned entrances by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, and directing patients, visitors, vendors, and staff according to facility guidelines.
Monitor access points, alarms, and/or CCTV as assigned; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and coordinate with clinical staff and local responders when requested.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including exterior perimeter and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; complete required reports and shift logs.
