About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Entry Desk in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for employees and visitors, helping manage access control and badges, monitoring entry activity, and documenting security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming, professional environment. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a front desk within a financial institution by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Control access by greeting guests, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control, reporting unusual activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate key updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
