As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will make routine vehicle and foot rounds at an active site, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. You will monitor access points, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to calls for service with professionalism. Bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset, along with a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of active work areas, entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking credentials when assigned and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries to the appropriate contact and/or location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs per post orders, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
