You will monitor activity, support access control and badge verification, and conduct routine rounds to help discourage security-related incidents, including in sensitive areas such as the morgue. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • This position is located at a hospital morgue.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at hospital entrances and reception points.
  • Screen individuals entering the facility by following established check-in procedures, verifying access credentials when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in locations.
  • Monitor entry points for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and report concerns according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying clinical staff and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of nearby corridors, waiting areas, and perimeter access points as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
