As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials such as TSA issued TWIC, manage entry logs, and monitor gates and cameras for security-related activity. You will conduct routine patrols and stay visible to help to deter incidents while delivering clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing arrivals to designated areas.
  • Screen and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including deliveries and service providers, by completing required checks, inspecting credentials, and maintaining accurate access control records.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and public responders as directed and completing timely incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter and access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations while reporting hazards and operational concerns to site leadership.
