As a Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer service while documenting observations and escalating issues as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, check identification and/or authorization as required, and help to control entry to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility alerts, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance from clinical and administrative staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activities, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
