As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and shoppers with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, observing customer flow, and reporting suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information during shift turnover to support consistent security-related coverage.
