As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, use computer or tablet tools as needed, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, service bays, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, including assisting with badge or key control processes as assigned.
  • Complete written reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and/or supervisors.
