As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet and screen personnel, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and monitor entry points and cameras to help identify security-related concerns early. You will communicate clearly with site teams, respond to incidents, and support smooth daily operations with a people-first approach. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing badges, and directing authorized personnel to the proper locations.
  • Monitor alarms, radios, phones, and access control systems; document activity and report irregular conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including industrial and outdoor areas where working environments and conditions may vary by location.
