As a Front Desk Officer in a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, manage access, verify credentials, monitor activity through logs and cameras, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor building access points from the front desk, verify identification and/or authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and vendor logs.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, notify the appropriate contacts, and support emergency response activities as required by post orders.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations and/or maintenance hazards, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and property management.
  • Operate front desk systems such as phones, intercoms, radios, CCTV monitors and access control software, and complete required reports and documentation before end of shift.
