About The Position

As a Security Officer - Reception Desk Driver in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will greet employees and visitors, manage access control and badges, verify credentials, and document incidents and requests with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring a people-first mindset as you support security-related operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities for a tech office environment.
  • Greet, screen, and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors; manage visitor registration, issue temporary credentials, and coordinate access with authorized personnel.
  • Monitor and/or operate security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels; report irregular activity and document events per site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, notifications, and coordination with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate written and/or electronic logs of arrivals, departures, deliveries, and incidents; assist with after-hours calls, lost and found, and general lobby support as assigned.
