As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access, answering calls, and supporting basic security-related screening and incident documentation. You will use computer or tablet tools to track activity and communicate updates with the site team. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have a guard card or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control lobby access by greeting and screening visitors, issuing visitor credentials, confirming authorizations, and directing foot traffic to appropriate areas within the commercial property.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other building systems as assigned; document and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with access control during emergencies, and supporting arriving responders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident reports, visitor activity, deliveries, and key control entries; communicate shift updates during turnovers and/or handoffs.
