About The Position

As a Security Officer - Reception Desk in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome associates and visitors, manage access control, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be the go-to resource for directions, incident reporting, and professional service that helps to deter issues before they grow. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing drivers, contractors, and guests to the appropriate check-in area.
  • Monitor security-related systems and activity at the desk, help to deter unauthorized access, and document observations in written and/or electronic logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and supporting first responders as directed.
  • Communicate professionally with operations staff to support shipping and receiving flow, report policy violations, and complete required reports for management review.
