About The Position
As a Security Officer - Routine Site Walks in Vienna, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, reporting concerns and documenting activity. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points, assist with visitor check-in, and verify authorization for entry, following established protocols and documenting irregularities.
- Complete detailed incident reports and patrol logs, communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and information.
