As a Screener at a high-activity logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen personnel and deliveries, and complete security-related checks that help to deter incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and site staff, and support smooth operations during busy shifts. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries at entry points using approved methods and equipment, verifying credentials, checking prohibited items guidance, and directing individuals and/or vehicles to the correct processing areas.
  • Monitor access control points, cameras, and alarm indicators to help identify unusual activity, then document observations and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, staging areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations, reporting hazards, policy concerns, and maintenance issues through required reporting channels.
